About Us at Victoria BC Solar Power And Energy Resource Guide

Hi there! I’m Don St Germain, and I personally created and coded this solar panel and energy website with a simple mission in mind: to make solar energy information easy to understand, accessible, and truly helpful for homeowners and businesses in Victoria BC.

After hours and hours (and days and days that turned into months) of research we jumped in and moved forward with a 12Kw solar panel system, and it's one of the best decisions we ever made! I look forward to logging into my hydro account each morning to see how much energy we produced the day before.

This isn’t a generic corporate site, it’s a locally built resource, thoughtfully designed by a real person (that’s me!) who cares about clean energy and helping people make informed decisions. Whether you’re curious about how solar works, looking into incentives, or just wondering if it’s worth it in our climate, we’re here to guide you.

We’re proud to say that every message sent through this site is read and replied to by a real member of our team, there are no bots and no outsourcing. When you reach out, you’re talking to someone local who knows the area, understands your concerns, and genuinely wants to help you explore solar energy in a no-pressure way.

So if you have questions, ideas, or just want to say hello, don’t hesitate to get in touch. We’re looking forward to hearing from you!

Here's to a sunny day!

PS: Check out these fun projects I've created, more ones are added often!

Current projects in the making are Moving to Victoria BC, Victoria BC Luxury Real Estate, Sooke Real Estate and introduction.me About Me Page

For over two decades, I've been designing websites and tools with one goal in mind: create websites that are both entertaining and informative. From helping you answer the questions to whats my IP and what is my browser and user agent, helping you update and optimize your website for SEO, to seeing exactly how old am I, and for extra fun how rare is your birthday and how rare is your name, and for pet owners check out dog years to human years and also cat years to human years!

I also offer dozens of helpful utilities and resource guides including everything you need to know about your 2017 Ford Escape and solar panels and solar power, and I strive to deliver solutions that are both practical and reliable. Our team values simplicity, transparency, and accessibility, ensuring that everyone, regardless of technical expertise, can benefit from our offerings.

Kind Words And Thank Yous

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “Honest info from someone who actually cares.”

It’s rare to find a solar website that feels this personal. Don’s site was exactly what I needed—no pressure, no upselling, just straight answers about solar panels and savings.

— Lisa H., Victoria, BC

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “I didn’t know where to start with solar—until I found this site.”

This site helped me understand what kind of solar setup would work best for my house, and the blog posts answered every question I had. Highly recommend if you’re just starting your solar journey.

— Brad W., Saanich, BC

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “A great local resource for solar in Victoria.”

So helpful to read info that actually applies to where I live. Most sites talk about desert climates or huge homes, but this one got it right for our cloudy BC coast.

— Tanya R., Sidney, BC

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “This site helped me ask the right questions.”

When I spoke to local solar companies, I felt so much more confident thanks to this site. I knew what to ask, what to expect, and how to calculate potential savings.

— Greg M., Langford, BC

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “Real advice, written by a real person.”

You can tell this site wasn’t made by a big company — it’s honest, local, and easy to understand. I love how each article is written in plain language and covers things most other sites don’t even mention.

— Emily S., Duncan, BC
